VNUS ClosureFAST™ Radiofrequency Catheter

The Next Generation of Endovenous Ablation

ClosureFAST Radiofrequency Catheter

The ClosureFAST™ catheter (VNUS Closure Fast) ablates the vein in 7cm segments with 20-second treatment cycles, resulting in vein shrinkage and occlusion. Data from a prospective multicentre study have shown 97.4% vein occlusion 1 year post-treatment.1

Technological Advances

Only ClosureFAST utilises Segmental Ablation Technology™

  • Allows for rapid and uniform heating of the vein

  • Eliminates the variability associated with a continuous pullback technology

Continuous intra-operative feedback from the RF Generator

  • Helps provide a consistent, safe, and effective treatment

  • Temperature-controlled energy delivery

Enhancements for a simpler procedure

  • No saline drip required

  • Lubricious outer jacket on heating element for easy repositioning between segments

Compatible with VNUS RFGPlus™ radiofrequency generators

Overview of the ClosureFAST Procedure featuring Segmental Ablation Technology

ClosureFAST Step 1

Step 1

Catheter tip positioned 2cm distal to the saphenofemoral junction. Tumescent fluid is administered.

ClosureFAST Step 1

Step 2

7cm vein segment treated all at once during 20-second treatment cycle. Additional vein segment treated serially.

ClosureFAST Step 1

Step 3

Catheter shaft allows fast and accurate catheter re-positioning between treatment cycles. No energy is delivered during the re-positioning.

ClosureFAST Step 1

Step 4

Treatment of 45cm vein takes 3-5 minutes (seven treatment segments).
